As the crisp autumn air settles over our city and the vibrant colours of the Apples and Art Studio Tour fade into a beautiful memory, I find myself filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. To put it simply, my heart is full.

This past weekend, I had the immense pleasure of sharing my work as part of one of our community’s most cherished events. To every single person who took the time to come out, to wander through the various studios and exhibits, and to stop by my display at Afro Bella Hair – thank you. Thank you for your curious eyes, your thoughtful questions, and your encouraging words. As an artist, I pour my soul onto the canvas, but it is your engagement and connection that truly brings the art to life. The conversations we shared were the highlight of my weekend.
I must extend a special, heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Afro Bella Hair. From the moment we first discussed this collaboration, they have been nothing but supportive, enthusiastic, and welcoming. They didn't just provide a wall for my paintings; they created a home for them. Their beautiful salon, a space already dedicated to creativity and self-expression, was the perfect backdrop. Hosting my exhibit in a place with such a wonderfully positive and community-focused spirit was a dream, and I am so grateful for their partnership.
To be one brushstroke in the larger masterpiece that is the Apples and Art Studio Tour is a true honour. My deepest appreciation goes out to the tour organizers and my fellow artists, whose collective passion and talent make this event a cornerstone of our cultural landscape.
The wonderful news is that even though the tour has concluded, a piece of it remains. My collection will continue to be on display at Afro Bella Hair for a while longer. If you didn't get a chance to stop by during the tour, or if you'd like to take a second look, I warmly invite you to visit the salon.
This weekend was a powerful reminder that art is a conversation, and I am so thankful to be having it with all of you. Cornwall, you have inspired me more than you know.
With a grateful heart,
Laura Leah
